As a founding member of Sereno, Carol believed in the company’s mission to donate 1% of its gross commissions to a charitable or community-minded group committed to making a positive difference in the communities Sereno serves. Carol has chaired the Sereno Los Gatos 1% For Good organization, sits on the board of the Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation and is the recipient of the 2018 Joanne Knapp Community Service Award for her outstanding work to these organizations.
As a result of Sereno's 1% For Good commitment, the company is ranked as the 32nd highest charitable corporate giver in Silicon Valley among the most distinguished companies including Google, SAP, EBay and the San Jose Sharks.
